Today was Emma's first day of home school! We had a surprisingly good time working together. I was a little worried that we would peck at each other all day, but Emma handled it like an old pro. (We'll see how that changes after a couple of weeks...) I am especially excited to be teaching her a little Spanish and art along with her lessons. It should be pretty funny considering that my idea of art is a stick figure, and my Spanish skills will only help me out in a Taco Bell. Just kidding!
I think it is going to be fun taking part in Emma's education. If anyone has any advice or tips about things that worked well for you--or fun projects you remember doing in school, let me know!

Don't tell Bryce that Emma is being home schooled. He has been begging me to let him stay home!! After a new kid move in his class and started calling him 'fatty Bryce' I was ready to do it. I did call his teacher and she put a stop to it.
The nice thing is here it is a formal school that tests the kids regularly and provides textbooks etc. I am pretty impressed with the setup. It is gaining popularity in LA - shocking, eh?
Tell that kid 'Fatty Uncle Rance' is going to sit on him and break wind.
I don't have kids, so I really have no idea about home schooling. I wasn't going to leave a comment until I read the two already posted. All I have to say is "Fatty Uncle Rance" is hilarious. Cracked me up!
I'm sad I couldn't stay in Idaho longer and possibly see you guys.
