Shall I try it?

So I filed my taxes and got back a notice from the great state of Cantaffordya.

Since I owe taxes maybe I will try sending out a note:

Rance Patterson has instituted a tax payment delay due to the Patterson's budget situation but will begin payments as soon as funds allow.

What do you think? Will they go for it, or charge me penalties and interest?
