Bare necessities of life

We finally got internet access in our apartment yesterday. I hadn't realized how much my day to day life was effected by it until it was gone. The sad thing I have access from work, but it isn't the same... you can't stream the latest episode of Chuck on the clock.

We also got a 'portable' washer, meaning miniature and half as functional. But it works and that is better than a trip to the laundromat any day of the week. It hooks up to the sink faucet and you control the temp by turning on the hot or cold faucet. I honestly had no idea these things existed before and now I am becoming an expert on compact appliances. We opted for the Danby as Consumer Reports rated it very high.
