A Wicked Mother's Day

Whew! Yesterday was the Cadillac of all Mother's Days. My family is going to have a hard time topping this one. The kids made me little scrapbooks from Joy School that turned out so cute! I got to go to R.S. instead of being tortured within an inch of my sanity by my primary class, and after church everyone let me take a (drumroll please) nap. I can't remember the last time I did that. It makes me tear up a little just writing about it.

Plus, on Saturday, Rance took me to see Wicked with some of our friends. It was amazing! Here is a picture:
This was my first time visiting Hollywood and I felt like a bit of a tourist. The Kents even knew where to go after the show to get autographs from the cast. How fun!

So far May has been a bit of a whirlwind. We are so busy doing things that I haven't had much chance to blog. On Friday we had a little birthday party for Laura. She is turning 5 this year. I can't believe how grown up she is. She wanted to have a bug birthday party. It was fun to plan creepy crawly games and treats. It was a bit of a relief after throwing scads of girlie pink princess parties for Emma.

Last Saturday Rance took us to the JPL open house. We got to see the new Space Lab and prototypes of some of the rovers and probes. We had to stand in line a long time to see some of the cooler things, but it was fascinating. I think it would be neat to be apart of something so awesome. I can see why Rance likes his job so much.

This week promises to be equally interesting as it is our Spring Break. We have big plans--if the weather clears up!
